When you're holding AA AK KK in late position, and there has been a raise with some callers before you, how much of a raise do you like to put in?
If I'm the first to raise, I like 3-4X bb, plus 1 bb for each limper, as a general rule, but I feel lost if there has been action before me. Sometimes I'll just go all in, but I feel like there's a better way to play that situation.
So, lets say there's an opening 3bb raise and two callers, making the pot 10.5 bb. You're in late position with AA/KK/AK, and want to narrow the field but not elimate everyone. Is there a general rule you like to go by?

Standard reraise is triple the original raise + the raise amount for each caller.
So with a 3xBB raise and 2 cold callers I make it 9xBB + 2 limpers equals an 11xBB reraise easily with AKs/KK/AA.With AA I may even push;KK I may lay down if it's against a total rock.Big SLick suited I am taking it all the way to the flop.

isolation.
two players to the flop max. Doesnt matter how much that amount is, so long as it does the job.

You'd fold KK against a standard raise and two callers? Only if the guy has a 1% PFR stat after a significant number of hands, maybe. I'd push with it 9 times out of 10.

A little thought on this.
Ep raises with QQ, 2/3 callers to you. You pot (more than pot it) for 11bbs i 2 callers for example. EP player now calls (bad play but ill let that go for a sec) which now gives a pot of ~30bbs with two callers. Set farming, im coming in behind here and to be really annoying i might get involved with two sooted cards here as well, as i might have done calling the original raiser.
Thus 11bbs or potting it isnt enough imo. If im going to isolate here id prob bet upwards of 15 to 20bbs or 1 1/2 2 times the pot. That ensures isolation or a pot won preflop and 9bbs is about average i think for AA/KK.

i find it useful to think in terms of BB for raising, but transition to pot terms for reraising.
i like to raise 4-5x bb, but i like to REraise the size of the pot (for anyone who plays pot limit, this calculation comes quickly)
so for example, in a 1/2 game, if the pot came raised to me 4x the BB (1$sb +2$bb +8$ raise), i would reraise to ~27$ straight. (11$ in the pot, plus my 8$ call=19)
?

I like three times the raiser's amount, plus extra for each limper, personally. A lot of times it works out to the size of the pot or a little more.....and that will normally only get you one caller, and MAYBE a shorty in there with ya...but it will thin the field to three or less 99% of the time.

I like to raise 3x whatever the initial raise is. If the raiser makes it 4x then I like to make it 12x. This is with AA and KK only. AK and QQ I just flat call.

Depends on the players and limits.
I've folded KK preflop about 15 times now. (out of the times i've saw the other players cards, i've been wrong 1 time)
