I'm having trouble deciding what action to take when I have a strong hand on the flop and am raised. I'm not sure if this scenario addresses my questions perfectly, but maybe it will generate some discussion that will.
50NL full-ring, 100BB stacks, no reads. Two limpers and you raise to $3 in the CO. Button calls everyone else folds.
Flop - Qh 9h 3d (pot = $7.75)
You lead for $6, Button raises to $16. What's your play with...
1. 99
2. AhKh
3. AdAc
4. JhTh

1. call, check and hopefully get a turn bet and raise him.
2. call, push.
3. call, lead out turn and try not to stack myself.
4. same as 2; call then push.

in hands 2 and 3 i checkraise push any nonheart turn here a lot (maybe a heart turn depends and fold if the c/r is pushed over with AA but not AKs
id always lead 1 and 4 because my reaction to a raise is to push most often if not always.

I push #1 sometimes, but I think at 50NL you fold out a lot of worse but decent hands by playing a set that hard. The board's not that scary. The rest, I agree, are usually/always pushes

Do you mean call and then push any turn? That seems like an odd line. Or do you mean you like call better than push?

when theres a obvious draw on the board, i play sets almost identically to draws. Against aware players, they just put me on JT and call. Against idiots, well they would call any way so who cares when the money goes in.

Yes, but you play at 4 and 600, right? The overall value at 25/50/100 is in people overplaying TP. We don't want to give them a reason to fold their precious AQ/KQ/QJ, etc. I much prefer a flop call, turn check raise (on a safe board, natch) to get all the $$ in against these players.

What if there's less dead money in the pot? Say no limpers, so there's $4.75 in the pot, you lead for $4 and villain raises to $12. Change anything?

i meant call the flop, push the turn. Thinking about this more, however, i think pushing the flop with both of these is just a better play. more fold equity.
