Hey FTR, quick introduction and then on to the business at hand!
Started on-line poker in late Sep-08, primarily micro-stakes MTT/SNG for first couple months. Joined FTR in Nov and spent that time in the MTT forum, learned an awful lot there (Chardrian and MCatdog are my heros!). After a couple months, had some good results and felt pretty good about pre-flop play but needed alot of work on post-flop, so started playing 2NL.
Have come to really enjoy it and looking to improve. I work hard on my game, think about things very seriously and really want to learn to develop a solid fundamental game that will scale up to the higher stakes.
FTR has been an awesome resource and having scoured through most of the strategy resources and all the BC posts since 1/1/09 (yes, even the multiple KK PF threads), I finally feel ready and equipped to engage in some analytical conversation!!
Goals are to keep learning and move up as high as the game will allow. May be silly but I do manage my MTT/SNG and Cash bankrolls separately, Cash BR is currently at $67 (14k hands, +11BB/100), so need ~15-20 more BI before moving to 5NL.
Ok, enough about me, on to the first hand for review.

Turn: ($0.85) Q (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero ???
Really struggled on the turn bet, the Queen hits villains range pretty hard. Had a decent hand (with gut-shot nut strt draw) and very much felt that villain was drawing. Was torn between pot control and pricing out the straight/flush draws.
A strong bet pretty gets us pretty pot committed so maybe shove is in order, check seems awfully weak, 1/2 pot bet/fold a better option??
Please correct my ranges, still very noobish on them, Thanks!!
Not sure if it helps, i stoved the post-flop range and got suprisingly good equity (unless i screwed it up).

Preflop I would have 3bet a little harder maybe 0.16, on the flop I'd also bet a little harder betting 0.30. If he shoves instant call. On the turn as played I'd bet 0.80, again if he shoves call. The point with this bet sizing is you're trying to make it easier for him to call a river shove. On the river I'd check call if one of the draws came in, giving him an opportunity to bluff into you OOP, if the river doesn't co-ordinate with the straight or flush, I'd put him all in if he checks. If it does I'd just check behind if he checks the river.

I think what you were asking about posting range... Kxh would indicate to me any Khxh combo, but not sure others agree...

i think the preflop range is way too wide. im my experience micro players raise a fairly narrow range compared to their calling range and would almost definately limp with most of those hands.
+1 to slevins analysis (god im so 2+2 lol).

Kxh would work for this forum certainly, any easy way to represent the multiple flush draws in PokerStove without typing them all in?

I guess I would just list the hands you listed as T8h+, J8h+, Q8h+. You didn't need to list the Kh since its in your hand...
