Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions I had about different rakeback offers.
First off, I play at absolute poker and I know that there are sites offering rakebacks of 30% or so but these all require that you are signing up for a new account which obviously I'm not and can't register for a new one under the same name anyways. Does this mean that I flat out can't get rakeback at AP?
Second, I was thinking about depositing on Poker Stars but I already have a name registered there too, although I was underage at the time so I just played with fake money and maybe placed in a few freerolls etc, so bottom line is I had never deposited there, does this bar me from getting any rakeback from PS?
Thanks

Try raketherake.com. They will set you up for rakeback if you didnt sign up to ap through another affiliate.

Pokerstars doesn't offer rb (as far as I know?) so that's not a concern.

No rakebakc at stars. Just deposit into your old account and you'll get the bonues you want.
In terms of sites that you have already signed up for.
Meh, take this for what its worth. A lot of rakeback sites say if you cose your old account, and tell the pokerroom you are signing up for a new account and tell them to aive your sign up bonus then they may very well allow you to do this. Full tilt are really strict on this and wont let it happen (hence the reason i have never player there or had an account) but ap seem to be sort of ok with it. I converted my AP acount to rb and they have been ok, but then i turn uip and play in 200nl+games, dunno whether this will effect it.
The other thing is that you can sign up for rakeback at an AP skin, but you can only set this up after having not made a deposit on an AP skin for the last 3 or 6 months which might as well be forever if youar limited to sites.
In short, id tell ap i forgot all my login details OR that i dont want to play poker anymore and then close my account. Then a week later open up a new account tell them you changed your mind etc, but want the bonus waivered so you dont get it a second time and they should be ok.
If you try to take the bonus twice, you WILL get raped.

Cant you uninstall the software then create a new username with a different email address and get rakeback that way? I was thinking of doing this.

Just go to Raketherake.com and sign up at Vegas24/7. It's a Absolute skin. When you do that you get teh deposit bonus, you have all the stats on players still, and get rakeback. When the purple colour starts to drive you, PM me and I will send you the table skin I made. It can be seen in Euph's B.A.R.T. thread.

I've also decided that I like the new contributed RB calculation method because whenever I play there, I'm always the most active at the table.

I think im going to sign up for vegas247, but first im going to have to deposit on ap just so i can withdraw, which i think is stupid. Is there a maximum amount you can deposit at one time with a credit card on vegas247? Im worried im going to withdraw a bunch of money and then not be able to get it all on quickly.

at raketherake it says something under the AP page like "already have an account at AP? no problem" and if you click that link it brings up a little email to send them your screen name but they have yet to email me back so hopefully i won't have to reinstall new skins and everything

Yeah it all depends on whether or not you signed up via an affiliate when you first made your account. I wasn't able to get RB on my existing AP account. It might take them a few days to get back to you because they have to contact AP and wait to hear from them.

It took them forever to get back to me. I had to end up emailing them after 2-3 weeks of not hearing from them.

For the $500 bonus that you get with the rakeback, do tourneys and sngs count towards that?
Also can you use the same email address from an AP account on vegas247?

You can deposit the same way on Vegas as on AP I think. The only thing is that you need a different email address.

I think they count but I'm not positive. Go look on your affiliates site and it's probably there?

I just looked at their bonus. For ever $1 in tournament fees you get 1 point, also you get one point for every hand you see a flop with that gets a rake of .50 or more. For every 75 points you get $10. I think playing 50NL will clear the bonus much faster than playing $33 sngs.

oh definitely, bonuses almost always clear way faster via cash than via tournaments.

Im trying to decide where i want to move my bankroll to. Im considering FT, UB, or Vegas. FT has a $600 bonus, not sure on the details on clearing it though, i couldnt find it at their site. UB has a $350 bonus, and Vegas has the $500 bonus. The UB bonus you get 6 UB points for every $ in rake in a sng, and $1 for ever 10 points. At vegas you get 1 point for every $ in a sng and $10 for ever 75 points. Any recommendations on where i should go?

Im clearing the FT bonus now. Here is how it works:
For every FT point you earn you earn $0.07 of your bonus.
You don't have to clear the whole thing. It is released in $20 increments. So everytime you earn $20 of your bonus it is released into your account.
You earn 1 FT point for each $ in rake that is taken during a hand in which you were dealt cards.
You earn fractional points. (so if they only rake $0.90, you get 0.9 FTPs).
If you can find friends to sign up thats $100 per time. Also if you do go for it pls let me recommend you!
I think there are easier bonuses to clear, but the fact that you release it in $20 incrememnts goes some way to make up for this

UB is slower than FT, but UB you can take as long as you want, FT only gives you a few months.

At UB, i clear around $20 or bonus for every 1k hands at $100nl. They did drop there bonus from $750 to $350, but they offer a reload bonus atleast once every 2 weeks.

The UB one seemed like it would clear the fastest for me. Every $33 tourney i play, i would get 18 UB points, and ever 10 points is $1, so i would be getting $1.80 on each tournament.
I think i will probly move to Vegas247 first just because ive been playing AP for the last few months and am used to their structures. I think ill be able to clear it in a month or two, where i will then probly move to UB then finally to Fulltilt. Im finding out now whether i can get rakeback at fulltilt since i already have an account there but never deposited, so i should still get the bonus there as well.

FT ratios is more or less the same, I was clearing a little less than 1/2 the tourney fee in bonus.

very true, I never play UB's < 100 tourneys. The 30 at 10 PM used to be OK but I don't think they run it anymore.

what is the play like at vegas24/7 at the 50NL/100NL levels (6max)?
I am also trying to find a new site and was thinking of either VP247 or pokerroom.
