$0.05/$0.1 No Limit Holdem
9 players
Converted at weaktight.com
Stacks:
UTG Hero ($11.97)
UTG+1 PAL72 ($10.19)
MP1 Callmefish ($9.36)
MP2 champers1410 ($3.33)
MP3 serendib ($10.00)
CO delibop ($2.01)
BTN skyjacktssss ($9.45)
SB MrTopBanana ($9.75)
BB bagup ($9.60)
Pre-flop: ($0.15, 9 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $0.40, 5 folds, skyjacktssss raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.60
Flop: ($2.15, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.07, skyjacktssss calls $1.07
Turn: ($4.29, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.07, skyjacktssss raises to $5, Hero calls $3.93
River: ($14.29, 2 players)
Hero goes all-in $4.90, skyjacktssss goes all-in $2.38
Would this decision have been made easier by stronger betting on flop/turn?

if you're going to bet the turn, bet bigger. 3/4 pot. However I'd prob just check/call if you intend to continue with the hand.

Don't bet turn, what hands that he calls the flop with is he giving up on the turn in a 3bet pot? Your stupid turn bet was pointless. I check here and make villain make a betting mistake, if he gives you the odds its a call, if not fold.
The flop bet is kinda retarded too, I don't mind a c/r as the 3bettor pre is obv going to cbet a tonne here.
oh and I fold pre too to the 3bet

I don't like c/r here unless you read the button preflop rr as really thin. (In which case I wouldn't fold pre either.) If he has an overpair, he will probably call your c/r and you are still behind. I prefer c/c.

Thanks, that makes much more sense. By the way I called pre because he had been rr a tonne with marginal hands. Against most rr I would usually fold

to answer the question, fold to the raise on the turn i think.
i think folding to the re-raise pre-flop OOP is better...
Agree with Muzz with regards to checking turn and calling if you have the right odds... 9 outs for nut flush but id be reluctant to add any for A on the river, given the way villain played the hand AK? although you did mention range to be quite high so unsure..
Im not very good though... just my thoughts

I think you donked your way into the nuts against a player who can't read the board. There's the obvious flush, and 3 different hands to make a straight. I don't know what's worse...you calling that turn, or him calling the river.

everything pointed out here makes sense to me. I would like to add one more thing...if you make it a habit of betting 1/2pot when you are on a draw, that is VERY exploitable. If you dont, just disregard my comment.
