In Early to Mid position I limp with 22-JJ (sometimes raise to mix it up).

In Late Position I will raise with 88-JJ if there has only been limpers (sometimes just limp).

If I hit a set on the flop I will bet the size of the pot. (Since moving to Ring games - I seem to be betting the size of the pot a lot more than in tournys is this the norm)

Any suggestions on this?

2/3 to 3/4 of the pot should work...

Depends on so many things who is in? how many etc....

Fnord -

Do you lead out with a bet on a flop that has missed you? - when raising with PP's

I raise all my PP's if no one has entered the pot. Against one opponent I will always Cbet my PP's unless the board is obviously coordinated and scary.

Against multiple opponents it becomes read dependant, I only find myself limping with PP if someone has opened the pot with a limp and the table is really soft with horrendous opponents.

Sometimes. I love pocket pairs because they very rarely put me to a difficult decision.

Lets consider a game where everyone is dealt a card with a number between 1 and 100. Deep money No Limit is a game where you either want the 1 or the 100, but will probably settle with something like 97, 98, 99...

Any PP over 77 is worth raising with from any position.
As for Mid position anything over 22 as long as your first to enter the pot, if there are limpers already then only raise with 99+, especially early position limpers carefull of those.

Truely terrible opponents wont fold when their 72o makes a pair of sevens on the flop and your throwing in continuation bets at them with 66.

I know your plays are highly read dependant but I just cant see how raising low pps against bad opponents is a good idea in any position, even the button.

Thanks everyone for your advice, have taken a note of it and will make it a part of my game.

I know that what i was asking was very general and when you have reads (betting pattern) on your opponenet it makes your decisions a lot easier.

I've mainly played Tournaments (SnG's more than MTT) and have just started on playing Ring Games - so I'm sure I will have more questions soon.
