No, you do not need money in your account, however, do not plan to be able to withdraw this money until you play so real poker with it. The site does not let you hit and run them like this. My suggestion, scrape together $100 and start grinding out so microstakes games.

Not every site demands you to play with with the cash you win in their free rolls, though many does. Might be a good idea to read the terms and conditions of the sites your playing at so you don't get any nasty surprises.
