$100 buy-in 10-seat sit 'n' go at a local cardroom. Blinds are 500/1000 I have about 15K in chips.

Player A, under the gun, raises all-in for his last 4,700. Player B, two seats off the button calls. I'm on the button with QQ and call.

Ace flops.

Player B, bets 4,000.

I fold my pocket Queens.

It should be noted here that Player A, is an extremely good poker player who has played with several pros in the past and even has one television appearance to his credit. Player B is not nearly as accomplished, but seems to be a solid player.

I figured that at least one of these players had an ace so my chances of winning the main pot were almost nil. I also saw no value in starting a side pot with a player who is likely to already have me beat.

Boy was I pissed when Player A turned over 9's and player B turned over Jacks!!

I think I played the hand right. I can't fathom making a call with QQ against an Ace high flop. I'm just wondering if I should have reraised player B all-in preflop.

All in preflop with 15 bbs. You really can't afford to make this call and fold, all you have is a psb left here.

all in preflop is the right thing to do

That makes perfect sense. And I'm sure I know better than that. I looked at my post after I posted it and basically answered my own question.

I'm thinking its possible that the stacks were a bit deeper. How does this play change if the blinds were 300/600?

it doesn't. if there is 9400 in the pot and you have 15K, push over the caller. there is too much in the pot right now, and will be much more in after you call.
