In a shorthanded ring game you are dealt Ah Qh. You raise 4-5 bb and get 1 called.

Flop comes 2h, 4h, 8d. Do you push with 2 over cards plus nut flush draw?

I'd just make a standard bet and consider moving all-in if I got raised. I'm not sure why you'd just go all-in immediately.

I would bet the pot. You will take it down on the flop quite often and if he calls and you hit you might win a really big pot.

i dont like pushing in this spot ... doyle recommends it, but his advice is from back in the 70's, where more players would buckle to aggression.

but at the 25NL tables players are happy to call all in with any two cards, on a pair draw.

with 15 outs your odds are about 2:1 to catch your hand on the turn. if you bet the pot and get called, you will get exactly 2:1 for your money, so the pot bet is a great move.

Only put all your chips in when you're ahead (lowstacking not included)
