Playing at a table right now (Party 25NL) and it seems like every time I have a limpable hand based on my position (eg KQs,AJo or low pair) some idiot throws in a preflop raise of 4-8xBB before my play - or I'll limp and then get raised and have to throw it away. I'm not prepared to invest a huge amount seeing a flop in these hands because I'm trying to be disciplined and stay tight for a while.

Thing is I know these guys are raising with probably similar hands - should I be loosening up a little or keep playing my game? I'm seeing about 15% of flops as a result and most of those are on blinds - I'm not getting great cards either.

Most likely this is happening at a tight table and you have someone who's trying to steal the blinds or limp bets. There hands probably aren't any better than yours, they're just willing to gamble a little more to cut down on competition in the hand. Just dont limp with a hand your not willing to call a raise with pre flop. Unless its late position and your pretty sure the SB and BB will limp/call. Otherwise if your going to enter the hand in early to mid position be the first raiser and raise it 3x. You'll loose a lot by limp/folding.

You'll have days where you don't get good hands. It's fine - don't start playingcrap just because. If you play 100 hands and NOT A SINGLE ONE is playable - you lose $3.50 in blinds. Not a lot, is it.
