PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

BB ($2.96)
UTG ($1.02)
MP1 ($1.14)
Hero ($8.25)
CO ($0.97)
Button ($1.83)
SB ($2.85)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8, 8.
2 folds, Hero calls $0.02, CO raises to $0.1, 3 folds, Hero ???

Given that CO has less than 15x raise left (i.e. I dont get implied odds to be set hunting), it is an error to flat call, right? If so and with no read on villain, is this a spot where I should put CO all-in or should I just fold?

look for 10x Raise not 15. (15 is good for SNGs not cash)
You have implieds and I insta call.

Just make sure you spike the set and make him pay for overplaying is premium hands

but after his raise, he's left with $0.87, still < 10x raise. Or do I need to consider his whole stack before the raise to figure out implied odds? And with his stack being so close to the 10x limit, don't I need to be fairly sure that he will put the rest of his stack in for me to think I have implied odds anyways?

you have to call $0.8 < 10x$0.87

Its all about how much you need to call, not how much he raised

Also, 88 is a made hand and will win (or at least be the best hand) against AK, AQ etc. often enough to make this call fine.

at these stakes i think i call. at 100 NL, i think i fold w/o a LAGGy read on villain.

in other words, its a marginal situation w/ 88. with TT+, sure, but A9o is a coin flip with you, as is KT, QJ, hell, J9s.

and theres no guarantee you get his stack.

that said, i prolly call, too.
