I'm new so i play really conservative and tight...playing only when i hit good cards.... i'm playing at the lowest tables .05/.10....

it's frustrating i have to fold everytime because there's always someone that bets pot on the flop and bets pot again on the turn... i can not even try to apply my skills and discipline.

any help?

should i just stick to play money or something....i'm suprised i'm not going tilt from boredom

perhaps try some cheap ring games at stars (0.01/0.02) or some cheap SNG's at VCPoker, if you're uncomfortable calling any bet you're presumably playing too high for your bankroll and you won't be able to use any skills if you're scared of losing every hand, there will always be swings in poker, especially when just starting so you need a decent roll to cover this, think 20 buy ins or 200 big bets in limit (at least)

You have to consider the size of the pot and your odds to improve as to if you want to call or not. If they choose to bet with nothing they will be called by a better hand and lose.

A good player can wait them out a bit and still make it up on 1-2 hands.

i'm playing at the lowest level at bugsy's at the moment....

so it sounds like i should wait until the pot odds are in my favour before calling.... just gives me the craps cos it feels like i'm being bullied at the lowest playing grounds...
