I am playing in a tourney later in the month. It is a Pot Limit Satelitte for WSOP. What are the differences of Pot Limit and No Limit? Help

Max bet for the pot-limit is the size of the pot.
Max bet for No-limit is the effective stack size.
In terms of strategy, there is very little difference. In some situations in NL, it is beneficial to overbet the pot and push all in. You don't have that option in pot limit. Of course, those situations are relatively rare.

One other difference, which is especially important in a tourny where you can have stack sizes of 200-300BB at certain stages, is that you can control the max pot size when heads up just by calling someone down. This won't come into play a whole lot, but can be a difference maker late in a tourney when you are strong but don't want to bet the house.

The fish and mediocre players play PLHE better, IMHO because they can't hang themselves with obvious over-bets and tend to bet the pot more often instead of all sorts of gay stuff that's easy to read and draw against.
The only part I liked about PLHE is that the cap allows a couple limpers to pay to see a flop more often than not. More people limping crap hands looking to hit a flop is good. Once they stop doing this, I'm back to the NLHE tables.

Alot of the PLHE games ive played in have players who just wont fold.... and im talking 3 or 4 to a table.
Crazy varience, but when you finally win a pot it can be HUGE.
Proper no foldem holdem.
In a tournament it probably wont be quite the same, or at least not after the first hour or so.
Postflop isnt alot different. Preflop you may not be able to raise as much as you want in early positions when not enough people have limped so you might need to limp/reraise a little. Other than that just cross your fingers and hope they dont suckout.

Great info. I am a little intimidated by the changes but I will have my game face on and my proper tight play when the time comes. Thanks.

Also, many times PL prevents fish from making big preflop mistakes. Sure they still make mistakes but they don't hurt as much.
