After re-re-re reading spoons great article "Quick Fix American Guide...." I have a question
Where he says:
Step 1: Make a small deposit of at least $50 to PokerStars and get the deposit Bonus detailed here: "

"Step 2: Grind $0.01/0.02 and buy in with $2 instead of $5 until you get to $150. "

He follows in the comments with (as an answer to another poster):
"First off, 10k hands/week is nothing, even if you're like
---->4-6 tabling, which is fine for new players playing full ring, <------for example.
Even 4-tabling 6-max would make this pretty easy imo, leaving plenty of time for pure study."

Using proper Bankroll management, with 50 dollars...wouldnt the 2 be the max number of tables you could play with a $2 buyin?

Disclaimer: spoonitnow has some of the best posts i have read and learn something every time i read/re-read them. This post is not to denegrate what he is saying at all, just trying to clarify things so my noobish brain can wrap around them.

Actually, the amount of tables doesn't change BR management
it just makes you get hands faster
especially 4 tabling 6m or 6 tabling FR, you shouldn't decrease your winrate

Most individuals go by the number of buyins they have for a certain limit rather than the old "don't risk more than 5% of your roll at any given time" thing. If you have 20+ buyins for the stakes you are playing, then as long as the number of tables you are playing doesn't make you -EV in the game, then by all means play that number of tables. It's likely best to not play an extraordinary amount of tables because your main focus should be to improve, which is much easier to do when you are playing few tables focusing.

If you start posting HHs that begin with "Have no reads...", play fewer tables.
If you review your big pot losses at the end of the session and go "Doh!" alot, play fewer tables.
If you misclick sh!t... play fewer tables.
If you're an hour into your session and don't have a goddamn thing in the notes tabs for a significant portion of the people you're sitting with, play fewer tables.
If you like to chat with the stoned dude from the Netherlands, play fewer tables.
If your win rate goes down but you figure you'll make it up in volume, or rake back, or bonuses or that free sh!t you can get with your FullTilt points, play fewer tables.

And if the main reason you're playing more tables is 'cause you're having a down session and just KNOW you'll get that that monster hand quicker by seeing more sh!t...

well, you get the idea.

I can't believe this post, suggesting new players should 4 table 6max. We read all over the site to work on mastering your game before adding tables, but here he's saying that it should be pretty ez, their goal should be 10k hands a week? Just think that's horrible for a new player to read. They'll get there when they're ready.
About the % of br on the tables issue - you can take that as a license to be ridiculous, ie. $200 br, 20 buy-ins = $10 - so I'll play 10NL - since I'm good, I'll 20 table it, meaning I have 100% of my bankroll in play. No matter how good a player you are, even if it's not technically -EV, I think it's stupid to do. Ofcourse this is an extreme example, but I think players should decide a % they can live with as far as risk management and stick to it - I currently don't play with more than 10% of my br in play at once, but I can certainly see that changing to where I'm comfortable up to say 25%. Just depends on the person.

if you can cope with a few tables, and have a deep enough BR then whats your issue with "risking" a higher % of your roll? it makes no sense.
