my local casino charges a CC structure instead of rake or time charges, so that players pay for each hand they are dealt. on the 5/10 tables this CC works out to be 7.5 BB /100 hands?

Now I have my doubts whether ANY player can overcome this huge tax in the long run, what are your thoughts?

Has there been any research into what is an unbeatable rake?

That souds retarded. I've never heard of that. If I were you I would band together some regulars and tell the casino the f off. Go play in someone's basement.

Sure 7.5/100 can be done if you are a solid player playing a bunch of hacks and your cards hold up.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

That's draconian! You can't beat 7.5BB/100 long term.

You'd only realistically be able to beat 7.5 BB/100 if multitabling.

I don't think you can multitable live, however if you can, I am very much mistaken!

Hey Dwarfman (5'6" and growing),

.... speaking of draconian rakes ... I can't remember exactly what they were charging when I was there (something like 5 pounds or more per pot), but the GutShot club in London was charging quite a large rake.

Just an FYI, if you are ever tall enough, er .... I mean old enough to go there and play.

Must be a high rake because its a private club. I'm curious as to what the the average rake structure is for other B&Ms in the UK. Any idea?
