I know the X/X ===VPIP/PFR as a players stats.
But what numbers do you want? Is it the higher both numbers the better?
...if a player has a PFR of 20, and you have a PFP of 10...I think this means that the hero can call with lesser value then usual vs this opponent. Are there other specific things you can look for?
Mine after 2k hands are 37/8...is that good or bad?
Oh and this is a greaaat forum..glad i found it.

it's highly dependant on many things... e.g. number of players at the table, table dynamics like looseness and stack sizes, your skill level relative to the rest of the table, tons of things. For example, a 6max player in a tough game playing near ideally might be something like 22/18. It's so tough to quantify what is 'best'. Some can play looser very profitably (there aren't a whole lot of great examples of this anymore since the games have gotten tougher-- 30/20 might be the absolute loosest someone could play that could still be fearful), others would be very smart to play tigher (because they simply aren't skilled enough post flop to push very thin edges preflop).

terrible. i would insta-buddy list you if you were playing in my game and i'd follow you everywhere. luckily, i'm guessing in the games you play this isn't that abnormal. You need to play way less hands and you're probably losing a ton of value by not raising more.

To expand, you want your vpip% to be close to your pfr%. As an example in a 6 max game 17/15 or a 9 handed full ring 13/11. Until you get better postflop being on the tighter than these examples will put you in less marginal spots that you may be unsure of what to do in.

hahaha wow and i thought i was raising wayy too much. The volume of money im putting into the pot tells you that im playing too many hands..?

So I need to raise more pre flop with the better hands and tighten up in general? (And look for opponents with stats like mine, realllly lobsided?)

yeah 37/8 probably means you are limping in with a lot of smaller pairs, suited one, two, and three gap connectors, any ace, and small broadway cards and only raising your bigger broadways and big pairs. sound about right?
also you should be playing considerably fewer hands in early position (closer to the blinds) and more hands in late position (closer to the button). for instance a hand like A8s which is an easy fold from UTG might be a raise from the button.
