i started mining party today. i am mining on a spare computer. i'm mining 12 tables of 6max. i'm using fphg (google it if you dont know what it is).

i intend on mining for the next 6 weeks. if i leave my computer on for 6 weeks straight with 12 tables always open, then i'll be mining 1200+ hands an hour. 24 hrs a day. for 42 days. that's 1.2 million hands.
even if this is an overestimate i will have 500k+ hands after 6 weeks.

can pokertracker handle this? i will be importing all the hands in 1 go. also, what other problems have people encountered when doing intense mining?
is 20GB enough free space? does fphg crash after doing so many hands?
does pokertracker work slow?

I've been doing something very simular for the past week myself collecting data. Look forward to others replying to this. My set up has been running like over 48 hours and I already got 100K hands though some tables are left unoccupied during off-peak hours.

isnt party pretty anti-datamining? I thought thats why they stopped PT being able to datamine.

Stagmn - my tables close when they are empty. how do you keep yours open. i had 12 tables open and i came back to have a look a few hrs later and a few them were closed. why did this happen and how can i stop it happening? have you had this problem?
after leaving it mining for 24hrs all the tables would have closed

I have no idea. I just know that a little while back they took action to block poker trackers data mining capability. You can no longer get hand histories from tables you arent sat at using PT. I dont know if/what they'll do about this new data mining setup but it seems to run on a loophole in their software so i dont know if theyll like it.
