ok i have AsQh on a
Ad 3c 8d 6c 7c
pokerstove says i have 49% equity vs A2s+,Td9d,9d5d,7d6d,7d3d,6d3d,A2o+
where as i counted it out and there are 91 total combos, of which i beat 48 (48/91= 52.7%), 6 that i split with (6/91 = 6.6%) and 37 which beat me (37/91= 40.7).
Why is my equity so low when i am winning over 52% of the time?

A2 - You win 7 of 8
A3 - You win 0 of 6
A4 - You win 7 of 8
A5 - You win 7 of 8
A6 - You win 0 of 6
A7 - You win 0 of 6
A8 - You win 0 of 6
A9 - You win 7 of 8
AT - You win 7 of 8
AJ - You win 7 of 8
AQ - You tie 5 of 6 (lose one)
AK - You win 0 of 8
Td9d - You win 0 of 1
9d5d - You win 0 of 1
7d6d - You win 0 of 1
7d3d - You win 0 of 1
6d3d - You win 0 of 1
I get 42 wins, 44 losses and 5 ties out of 91
44.5/91 = 0.4890
Looks like that's what PokerStove gets too:
Code:
Text results appended to pokerstove.txt
91 games 0.005 secs 18,200 games/sec
Board: Ad 3c 8d 6c 7c
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 48.901% 46.15% 02.75% 42 2.50 { AsQh }
Hand 1: 51.099% 48.35% 02.75% 44 2.50 { A2s+, Td9d, 9d5d, 7d6d, 7d3d, 6d3d, A2o+ }
Also, for what it's worth, if you have the AcQh instead you move up to 56% equity.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Yeah I sort of figured that's what it was but thought it would be more clear just to list the hands hehe. Don't sweat it though, I promise I've done it more often than you can imagine. =)
