Vi-Zer0Skill is on a distinguished road
Here's the situation: I have 35k FPP's, and should reach Platinum Star for this month, and subsequent months until at least January/08.

The $650 bonus requires Platinumstar status, and 50k FPP's.
The $1500 bonus requires Supernova status, and 100k FPP's.

Clearly the $1500 is a better value, but i will not be able to reach Supernova for this year. I should realistically be able to net 65k more FPP's before the end of the year, and intend to purchase two $650 bonuses.

At least, that would be my plan because when i went to look more in detail at all of the cash FPP items, Pokerstars says they will review whether to continue offering them at the end of the calendar year.

Has anyone heard anything about these bonuses, and whether Pokerstars is going to continue offering them? Should i shoot to acquire the two smaller bonuses, or is there another item that has better value for 100k FPP's?

You may already know this, but you get more bang for your buck as you purchase more expensive gifts with fpp. Determining what to purchase is dependant on your need for the items: do you need cash to pay bills? or do you need a new TV? If you don't necessarily need anything on the list, wait until the last possible moment to purchase something.

The reviewing of the cash bonus at the end of the year is interesting, but I still consider the need of cash today. What will probably happen is that Pokerstars will change the amount available to be purchased or maybe the cost of the cash purchase. Or maybe they won't change it at all.

For me personally, I JUST decided a couple minutes ago that I would hold out on purchasing anything. I don't need a new monitor and I have sufficient cash in my account. What might end up happening is that I'll end up with 5 million points and I'll purchase the Aston Martin V8.

This car is worth 41fpp / dollar, as compared to 67fpp/dollar with the $1500 bonus.... more bang for my buck.
