I was checking out this thread over at 2+2:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...fpart=all&vc=1

and was going through my pokeroffice stats to compare them to what they said and my positional stats are all messed up and its leads me to believe I have huge leaks in my game based on position, ie. my most profitable position [over 15k hands] is the small blind, followed by seat 5, then seat 4, then the button. I always thought the button was supposed to be the most profitable position and the blinds were the least. What should I be analyzing to see what Im doing wrong from late position?

It will even out in the long run. After 10K hands I was making money from BB. Now I am closer to break even. Button still gives me problems, though. I need to do some serious analysis of my button play.

My biggest money making position right now? UTG LOL.

That will change over time, too....

over 15k hands youve only played 1.5k hands from each position. Thats nowhere near enough to begin comparing winrates.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

Renton will become famous soon enough
If you are nutcamping (although an ideal strategy at the limits you play) your position stats will be screwed up. It doesn't mean you are doing bad, it just means you aren't taking enough advantage of position. If you are using an AOK 19 hand system or something like it, you will probably be playing a lot of the same hands in any position. As you open up your game you will begin to be a lot more aggressive in position and a lot more cautious out of position, and your stats will reflect this by making you a moderate winner in early position, a large winner on the BTN and CO, and a loser on the blinds. You are probably playing too many hands on the blinds BTW.

Also, like pelion said, your sample is too small to know. The above were just assumptions I was making about your game, based on how my game was when I was where you are at.

Get 50k hands under you, you begin to see more make sense results.

Or, be like me, lose your harddrive, and have only 500 HH's from last night and thats it. Thats good for statistical analysis. Yes, I'm still bitter.

Im not trying to compare true winrates really, atleast not using specific numbers, more just "Im making twice as much out of the small blind as I am out of the button." Even though I dont know the true winrate from any position, Id be surprised if after 2k hands from both the button and the SB [i have about 2k in all positions except #9 because of playing the 9 player tables at stars] that the difference would be so pronounced.

Im using a strategy similar to the 19 starting hands, but thought I had modified it to be positionally aware [folding some of the limping hands in ep, raising limping hands when folded to in LP, playing SCs in position, etc.] thats more why I am confused about this. Im doing decently in MP, but LP is what I am really having trouble with, Im unsure of when to be aggressive and when to back off.

Yea but If you lucked out on 1 or 2 hands from the SB and took a bad beat on the button thats going to skew it hugely with that sample size. You're playing fine. Dont worry about that kind of thing until you have more hands to study it
