I just downloaded pocker tracker so I could track my results but it is being very annoying to me. The program works fine I just cant find my name! It's really starting to bug me so here is the problem. I open up the free trial and click on Texas Hold 'em. Then I click Cash Games and it comes up with a bunch of names. A few of the names are friends of mine that have used my computer in the past. So i've been trying to get my name (ryan0192) to show up and it just doesn't. There are like 50 random names on the list, along with a few I know, but not me!? I searched for my name and it didn't show up and I'm confused. Before today, I have only played omaha. I played fixed limit holdem just to try to get my name to show up. Does pokertracker also track omaha?

Use somethign called 'google' or perhaps even something like the PT3 website for such questions. You are just being lazy.

Durr question but you have told pt3 where to look to import files, right? And run the importer? you have set stars to store HH's locally? that sort of thing?

from memory wasnt there a box where you type in your alias 's and then when you click on the "mine" button your stats will show.
2. go into pokerstars and find out where its storingyour hand histories( are you on vista cos its a different location by default than on XP and check that theres a folded named ryan0912 in it and see if hand histories are there . If the histories are still there then thay havent been imported so you haven't set PT3's hand history import location up right or you havent clicked start import before each session.

Guess I joined the wrong forum.I was looking for a forum that had helpful people that understood some have trouble with things that are easy for themselves.Poker tracker 3 takes a degree in computer science to set up.Get hold'em indicator ,much simpler.

Sorry for posting a dumb question lets please not argue. Although I do agree that every question should be answered without calling the person an idiot for asking it.

I think poker tracker is top of the line, and didn't it catch the absolute poker cheat?Just kinda hard to set up.If you're starting out a simple poker calc. is plenty to contend with.

do you want to join a forum where you are told to do A B C or one where you'll sometimes be called an idiot for doing D because F and G could now occur and that you should have done H and the reasons for it. If the answer is spoonfed to you will you have learnt or be back posing a similar situation again a couple of weeks later without realising the similarities to the previous situation. If you get your ass kicked a bit you'll make certain that you understand the situation and the reasoning behind it.

No it doesn't , I actually found PT3 easier to get going than holdem manager. As a program I much prefer Holdem manager though. It would be nice though if both programs would have a default setting to start import when run with a manual override to stop import. This would have at least spared OP's blushes when he restarted the tracking software whilst trying to get it run.

In an effort to contribute back to the community that welcomed me so warmly when I first joined a discussion on the forum I'd like to say:

This could very much be considered spam.

And learning how to wipe your ass requires a degree in biomechanics?
