I have only been playing online poker for about a year. At first as i expected i did not do too well and was fine with this as it was all part of gaining experience. After about three months of constantly losing i started to notice my bankroll was not dropping so rapidly. I then found that for about four months i was winning consistantly. I would say that for 85% of the time i played i was winning. In the last three months i have now started to lose about 90% of the time and cannot understand why. I have not changed the style of my play and at first just thought i was getting a few bad beats and making a few bad calls. This streak does not look like ending and i am finding it hard to develop my game as now i feel like i am back to being a begginer with 1 month experience. Just want to know your opinions on this any advice would be appreciated.

Seeking helpful info.... Where do you play -- somewhere that enables tracking, like Party Poker? Have you used a tracker for self-analysis, or do you ever look in the stats window (if available)? Do you see the same folks at the tables all the time? What level/limits are you playing at?
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

I play at vc poker and i dont think that enables tracking. Never thought about using a tracker may have to if it helps improve my game. I play mainly $0.5-1 or $1-2 tables and there are regular players but i do not seem to be playing the same players all the time.

Consider Poker Tracker. It is a supurb program for finding out how good you and your opponents realy are.
I built my own poker table... Check It Out

My initial thought was that your game was known by other players, but that may not be the case. The second thought is that your game has holes in it. I don't know if PokerTracker works at VCPoker, but it could help you find and fix your holes. My third thought leads me to another question -- you are playing $1 & $2 NL or Limit? You may be playing above your bankroll -- read 'Rilla's guide to bankroll management and see if you are. Playing above your bankroll amplifies both your variance and the effect your BR has on your play (playing scared, playing too bold.)
I'm a know-it-all.
