Hey guys,
I've finally migrated to the online department of poker, and was wondering which poker room you would recommend. For reference, I am from the US.

Thanks.

I used to hate Full Tilt, but now I do not... just make sure you sign up thru a Rakeback affiliate

1. You sign up with a rake-back site (I use raketherake based on recommendations from some of the folks here... there are others...) It's easier if you do this when you FIRST create your account at the site. You can attach it after the fact (assuming you haven't accepted any other affiliate type bonuses...) but it's just safer. Better yet, go to the rakeback provider's site and CAREFULLY read their instructions. Can't emphasize this enuff 'cause there's no mulligans on this sh!t... you fuck it at the gate and you can be screwed out of ever getting rakeback from a site.

2. You play poker and win moniez as you normally would.

3. The rakeback provider refunds you a % of the rake collected during your play. How much this is depends on the provider and on what site you play at. For instance, I get 27% of rake collected from my FullTilt play credited to my FullTilt account once a week... automatically. For some sites the % is higher or lower than others.

There are two other considerations... how rake is calculated (is your rakeback a % of actual rake you paid in hands you played, or a % of the total hand rake contributed by all people in the hand for hands you played OR a % of total hand rake of every hand dealt in. This sh!t can make a difference... for instance, I'm an f-in nit, and raketherake pays x% on every hand I'm DEALT IN at FullTilt. That means I'm getting rakeback whether I fold or play... so I'm basically getting a lil' piece of other people's rake. If you're loose, you may find a higher % that pays on contributed rake works better. I'm a cheap bastard, so I actually think on sh!t like this.

Other consideration is how bonuses are factored in. Some deduct bonus paid out from rakeback... basically the room doesn't want you double dipping. Some don't, so you could get both early on.

PokerStars has a different kinda setup. Spoon has a great thread peeping all the scenarios on that sh!t. Def check it out.

Prolly more than you wanted to know, but f- it, I like to ramble...

poker stars. Don't open a full tilt account until you have $600 to deposit, so that you canmax out their first deposit bonus.

Alright guys. Thanks. I've decided on Pokerstars, and in order for me to get the deposit bonus, I'm depositing $50, and I just enter the first2008 code right? Is that it?
