Just had a hand where I was dealt this and I raised 4xBB in middle position. Small blind reraises me to 12xBB. He was fairly new to the table so had no read on anyone yet. This is a 25NL table on Party so it's super fishy so he could have pocket 5's and think he's got a great hand but...
Now, with low pairs I would just let this go and probably limp in anyway without raising however what is the right play preflop? Call or simply let it go like with a smaller pair because I can't get a cheap flop? I ended up calling and the flop came down bad for me (two overcards), he bet strong after I checked and I folded.
Anyone play this differently? Either not even call the reraise or get more aggro?

As long as both of you have full stacks or more it's fine.

Yeah if he has alot of chips (~100 bb or so) you should def make the call just looking for a set. If he does have AA or KK and you hit your T then you will be in Fat City. I would be careful if the flop comes w/ no overcards as he might have JJ or QQ as well. Don't get stacked w/ just a pair of Ts!

With a big re-raise from an unkown, you are looking to set or fold with TT. Fold even if the flop is 8 high.

I'd probably just muck it preflop with 100bb stacks unless I was extremely confident that he had KK/AA AND he'd stack off everytime with it.
Against most player's 3-betting range at these stakes, a pair of 10's plays pretty much the same as a pair of 2's here.
