How would you play top pair.

Lets say KJ offsuit.

flop comes J 9 3

So i would bet 60 chips someone reraises 120 call?

Turn 8

So there is a possible straight draw out there for someone...

Bet 90 chips someone calls 90

River 5

All this is rainbow no possible flush draw out there..

Bet 250 or so. Someone calls.

Someone hits 2 pair 9 and 8s.

*this is just a hand I pulled out of my boobies and needed some help on playing top pair 8-) *

How would you of played it?

I would play it basically the same way you did. If the guy with two pair isn't raising you, you can't assume his hand is stronger than yours.

That's strange that he raised with middle pair and didn't raise when he got two pair. I would've thought he flopped top pair or two pair the way he was betting.

Either way, if I was him and he saw where you pulled that hand from, I would've guessed you had a bigger pair even before they, err, I mean, the flop. Nice avatar.
