Ok villain is 61/34. He bets and raises everything, calls all ins with high cards without hitting the board and is completely wreckless. Somehow he has amassed a large stack behind him.

Hero calls $0.50, MP (poster) checks, CO calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50.

River: ($36.50) 5 (2 players)

Do you think I played this wrong? My thinking was that the second best hand is probably 75% of the time good against this guy.

I'm not sure I'm nearly experienced enough to say how well you played this hand, but I'd certainly like to know how it turned out.

My personal reading is that with no paint on the board, you'd have to fancy your chances of having the better hand. Having said that though, when playing against maniacs it's obviously very difficult to put them on a hand meaning that he could have gone in with anything and hit a lucky pair/trips

Personally though, I think I'd have played it your way and stuck with my hand especially if he's been raising anything in the past.
