How do you play top pair or two pair on the flop with a flush or straight draw on the board. Do you check or bet. If a bet how much. Then what do you do when the flush or straight is possible. This is for Multi and single table tournaments

Bet 80-100% of the pot size to take away their pot odds to draw, if they call and it doesn't hit keep betting big to teach them not to chase....

If the draw completes... you can bet at the pot for information or check it, just don't pay them off if they come over the top.

I agree, except I would do 50% of the pot to achieve the pot odds. I definitely think betting is the right play or else you're giving them a chance to draw it.

it depends. give us stack sizes, reads on players, your table image, position and pot size

I was talking about the most general situations in the early stages of the tournament. With average stack sizes

In the early stages of a tourney, if the pot isn't big (less than or equal to 100 chips) I would overbet the pot, many will still call, for example:

While you do kill the pot odds so to speak, the implied odds are still present, If you have someone pegged for a flush draw, bet as much as the pot or overbet it if you think they will call, the idea is to get them to make as bad a play as possible, if you bet the pot, they are getting 2:1 to call, but only approx 4:1 to hit their flush, thats better than giving them 3:1. Check-fold if it completes, or try to show it down as cheaply as possible.

It also depends on the table and the players. At lower stakes, some/many players do not figure pot or implied odds and chase draws on a feel. Sometimes I will have to bet 1.5X the pot to scare off draws.

Keep good notes on what other players have bet into pots for draws. For example, do they play pot odds or do they bet into pots based on feel and their stack sizes.
If you put all your faith in the river, you are up shit's creek

You don't want to scare off flush drawers, you just don't want to pay off flush drawers that hit.

Personaly I like to bet the pot in the flop and on the trn if i know someone is chasing a flush/straight, if they do hit I like to make a small feeler bet just to gain some information, if they come over the top I will usually fold
