One hour ago I came from a "rave" party. I was not quite sober. While waiting for my friends I decided to play a couple of hands, just for fun. I lost ~$90 in 15 minutes. Oh well... lesson learned. Atleast I'm not sober.

Couple questions.
1. Why were you drunk at a rave party?
2. Playing drunk is not always bad, I usually reserve for home games with buddies, it makes for a good time.
3. If you were rolled out playing poker is not good, the concentration that is required can not be attained in your state of mind. Allthough if playing live (and your rolling face) your opponents will most likely be freaked out by your eye wiggles and will have an impossible time picking up a physical read.
If rolling face at the casino I highly suggest the slot machines. All the lights and money make it very exciting.
Anyways this response is more of a community like response.

1. I was drunk because I like to drink. I used to eat 'em beans like candy along with various other substances couple of years ago. Nowadays I don't do drugs much. I have a daughter and I kinda get my kicks from other stuff (like poker).
2. I was waiting for my friends at the time and after they came we played for a couple of hours and it was a blast. I think playing drunk is ok if your opponents are drunk as well.
3. LOL. I can imagine how it would look if someone were rolling his face off at a poker table. I was a bit up but was more drunk than tweaking.
Anyways. I'm a bit embarrassed that I even started this thread.
And bigred, I was at a rave party because I like to dance and I like the music. I was a techno kiddie back in the days.
PS. drugs are bad, mm'kay?

Playing drunk gives you an excuse to lose, and you don't need an excuse to lose...

Playing drunk is great craic, but strictly only for home games.
