Last night, these were a few shorter hand histories from the local game I started playing in about a month ago. First, a little background. I am a tight-aggressive player against these maniacs. I play good cards in late position, otherwise, I play mostly premium hands. These guys raise someone on the flop, and then will check it down to the river, go all in with middle pair, gut shot draws, flush draws, anything you can think of. They don't recognize what a reraise means from another player, can't count outs worth a shit (I just sit back and laugh as they try to tell themselves "they know how to play really well"), etc. For example here's how I built my stack. I raised on the button with aces, this was about the 3rd hand out of the first 20 I played. I raised to 3xBB and the SB called. Flop came 2-k-a rainbow, he bet with his k-8 and i raised in case he was on a draw. Turn came 2, which means I had the boat. Eventually I took myself all in and he called, saying I think your bluffing. Yeah, that's the type of guys they are. TV players so to speak, think it is all about bluffing. So I was sitting alright, 4 of us left, and i built my stack to around 20 bucks. Total chips on the table was 80. Guy to my left had a bigger stack, across the table was the low stack, around 10. To my right, he had about 15 or so. This is where the action picks up. Sorry I don't know how to use the hand converter.

Hand #1 Blinds .25/.50
UTG folds
Button folds
SB calls with Jc-8c VILLIAN
BB checks Kd-10s HERO

Flop: 10c-10h-3c
Villain bets 3<----bets out his draws a lot, Hero reraises him all in for 10 more, Villian's whole stack. After thinking, he calls
Turn: 7h
River:9d

Final Pot: Villain wins pot of 22 with straight, 7-J. Hero has trip 10's.
After steaming to myself from a runner runner (I was putting him on a flush draw which I was correct), I calmed down not to go on tilt and figured I could take him later. I had about 10 left in my stack at this point. Also, Villain was beaten by two inside straight draws earier and commented "that feels good since I had been beated twice by draws."

Hand 2: blinds still .25/.50...stacks about the same except I have 10 and Villain has over 20.
UTG folds
Button folds
Villian: calls with 10s-4s
Hero: checks in BB with a-k off

Flop: 10c-9c-2
Both players check
Turn: As
Villian bets 3, Hero calls
River: 4d
Villian bets 5, Hero calls

Final Result. Villain shows two pair 10's and 4's. Hero shows pair aces. Hero now down to 3 bucks.
*As a side note, I should have raised preflop but figured I would get called anyway so I thought if I hit flop, I would value bet. I didn't hit so I just checked. Turn I hit the ace, but again, I figured if I raised, I would get a call anyway and if the river was dangerous, I would only play cheaply.
This is the hand I thought I played wrong the most.

Hand 3: blinds still .25/.50
UTG folds
Button (Villain) calls with js-8s
SB (Hero) calls with 9-6 off
BB checks.

Flop: 8-7-6 rainbow
Hero goes all in for 3, BB folds, Villain calls. *I knew I was behind at this point but I had bottom pair with open ended so I figured I better spend the last few chips.

Turn: 9-s
River: 5-s

Final Result: Villain wins with flush, jack high. Hero shows straight.
I busted out and since I love poker, I rebought and got $10 in chips. I know with the blinds it is stupid, but I am way better than these guys and last week I rebought and managed to take 2nd. Aside from it all, I just wanted to play more poker.

After a few more hands, I took some pots aggressively and built it up to 15 or so. Villain is now chip leader with around 40-50, I am the 2nd low stack at the table. Blinds are now .50/1

Hand #4
UTG (Hero) raises to 3 with J-J
Button folds
SB folds
BB (Villain) calls with k-q off

Flop: 10-8-2rainbow
Hero goes all in for 12, after thinking awhile, Villain calls
Turn: Q
River:A

Final Result: Villain wins pot with pair of queens. Hero shows pair of jacks. Busted out at this point.

After all of this, I was a little frustrated. I pushed because I knew I was ahead or had outs to win, like hand 3. I got beat by 2 runner runners, a river card, and a draw to two overcards. Did I play these totally wrong? Should I just value bet these guys pot bets or a lil less to the river since they will call anyway and fold if they are strong when a scare card comes? I hate just pushing and hoping for luck because 4 times I got screwed over. I know in the long run I will win this but seriously, 4 times? Please analyze this and let me know what I am supposed to do. Thanks for taking time to help a newer player out.

hand 1.....no need to get frustrated here...this happens all the time , in the long run this hand is +ev , try to think long term not short term....

hand 2 ...raise pf, and c-bet the flop..after the turn , bet out again..you want to make his decisions difficult when your in position, not the other way around ..

meh, you have outs and you have a short stack so its not that bad of a play,,

hand 4
umm why go all in on the flop? are your trying to scare him? do you want him to call ? ,,..just bet out about 2/3 pot and see what happens

Hand 2 is played pretty badly tbh. Don't ever not raise because you think he'll call anyway. With AK here it's highly unlikely that he has a better hand and one of the most fundamental concepts in poker is that when you have the best hand you want to be raising for value. This is all +EV.

You were then rather unfortunate to get drawn out on I guess but if you're raising preflop, I'm liking maybe 4xBB, you probably don't even get into this position cos I highly doubt he's calling with 10-4 out of position. If he does he's a 'tard and you'll stack him eventually.

Take the beat, learn from it, bring some more chips to the table if you think it's necessary and carry on playing.

hand 1: he was short stacked, the board could have easily missed you, he took a stab at the pot, and when you reraised him he only had to call 7 to win 21. Also, he could also have 3 outs to a jack because you could be pushing lower pocket pairs at this point too. Not a bad play on his part, nor your, thats just how the cards fell.

hand 2: by checking AK in the BB, you are asking for a random 2 pair to be hit on you and you can't put your opponents on a range of hands.

hand 3: I probally fold this preflop. But if you do call you have to push this flop with your stack...

hand 4: villien decides to donk some chips off to you and gets lucky
