So I'm sort of in a funk, and I'm sure it has to do with playing multiple tables trying to get all this bonus money. I play $25NL. When i play one table, I'm very much on top of my game, and I usually make some decent money. However when I play multiple tables, I barely seem to keep my head above water. I don't play the table, I play the cards. I always end up busting out of one table, and instead of rebuying at that table I just close the window and concentrate on that game, and then I usually end up making the money back that I lost. But that's alot of "makeup" time instead of "profit" time. Any suggestions?

This is probably not what you want to hear but when I was whoring, limit is the way to go. Get ssh, pokertracker and playerview and try limit for a while... you can mechanically burn through your bonuses at 250+ hands and hour playing 4+ tables concurrently and not have to depend on reads as much since they are mostly taken care of by pt and playerview.

Hell, pokertracker and playerview might help you pick up on the tenedencies of your NL opps and play the table more in your NL game when you are trying to multitable.

I play five to seven tables of 25NL and 50NL ring games with no probelm. Its all just a big campfest anyway, and at these limits the players are so bad that you can expect to get paid off when you make a hand. Usually I just take note of people that have large stacks, and those who I see make good plays consistantly, and give them a bit more respect.

And if someone busts you, just reload and take their stack. (I'm assuming if you bust out its because you were outdrawn/bad beated, or just had a really close hand that you couldnt drop (such as set to higher set) A +EV player wants to see as many hands as possible right?

On the other hand, if your game is very dependant on watching the table and playing the person, then maybe just stick to one or two tables with limits at the top of your bankroll.

However, if you just play your cards, you should be making money at NL25, IMO.

When I 4-table I definitely don't get the same reads as when playing just 1. This means I take whatever notes I can, know who the big stacks and small stacks are, and probably play a little tighter and more straightforward. Play the cards more and the players less(since less reads). I also play at the lowest level to clear without mixing table limits.

Unless you want to play forever, you almost have to multitable to clear the bonuses, so you either play 1 table for about 4x longer or play 4 tables and adjust your play a little.

Well to be honest.. i'd go insane if i could only play 1 table.. I need minimum of 4 and I dont seem to have any problems with reads or anything.. maybe i just have a multi-task brain dunno..

anyhow, I'd just go down to the number of tables you are comfertable with, if thats 1, then just play 1. The only reason I play more is cuz 1 aint enough for me lol

and.. dont join the dark side and go play limit lol

I ADHD out if I play less than four.

Even with four there's quite a bit of dead time. I prefer five or six.
Light years ahead of the competition.

FWIW, my computer is a bit on the slow side, so at times I barely have enough time to act on all 4 hands, much less type notes. Should be fixing that soon. Don't have the screen space to play more then 4.

I run alot more than four tables without probelms. I overlap my windows though. I usually run them from top left to bottom right of my computer screen.

Now I feel inadequate. I've only played 3 at the most, and you guys are playing 4+????? I kneel before you as your humble servant.
This is a true story. I'm not a paid actor. FTR does not guarantee any results. People can and do lose money when playing poker.

Yea I playing 8 at a time up to 10 sometimes with overlap. I honestly want to get a 3rd monitor so I can play 10+ tables. Multitabling Is deffinately a learned skill. You need to just be able to look at the screen and not deliberate for the best play. Hours and hours of play and you will get better.

You...are freaking insane, my friend. :P You play a minimum of 4 tables at $400NL?
I like to concentrate a lot on my games when I'm playing higher stakes, so the absolute max I could play would be 3, but I'd be much more comfortable with 2.

a MINIMUM of 4 tables? damn...

I mostly do the same thing, though I usually play SNGs if I'm not clearing a bonus.
