When I sat down this was the first time I had seen villain, no history. Semed pretty straight forward and after about 50-80 hands I decided to start bluffing a little. He 3-bet mainly your standard hands - well the ones that I saw anyway. TT+/AQ+, but I figuered it was really wider than that. Probably had some SC's and lower PP's in the 3-bet range too.

233 hands running at 27/15/1.62
I was running at 20/12/1.41

Likey, no likey?

1)This was the first spot I decided to take a stand, I was pretty sure pre that he had AQ+ or QQ+. A bit of a bad call maybe as he didn't give me set odds to call. He'd defo be betting AK/AQ here, but not AA or JJ. Luckily he checked behind on the flop and the turn pretty much discounted AA so this board had shat on his range

MP ($49.75)
Button ($79.85)
SB ($24.10)
BB ($99.80)
Hero ($64.90)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with , .
Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, Button raises to $8, 2 folds, Hero calls $6.

Flop: ($16.75) , , (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($16.75) (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $10, Hero raises to $30

2) I think he was a bit pissed about the prev hand, so started to 3-bet me more esp when I was the button. I figured he could be 3-betting wide, decided on a loose play to see a flop IP with Kxs - looking back now was probably a bad play? My plan was for a J/T-high or lower flop to raise his c-bet

SB ($50.45)

UTG ($54.15)
MP ($106.65)
Hero ($83.40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with , .
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, BB raises to $7, Hero calls $5.

Flop: ($14.25) , , (2 players)
BB bets $9, Hero raises to $25

3) Now he's getting pissed I can feel it. he took exactly the same flop line here as previous hand, so figured he didnt have much. Plus his 3-betting range could have opened up a lot more. His normal flop bet with a hand was more like pot than 2/3rds. I was 80% sure this was a bluff on the turn.

4-bet preflop or fold.

I don't like preflop in any of these. In hand 1 I like your flop/turn line. I don't really like anything else.

Robb is an unknown quantity at this point
His range isn't nit, but he's not maniac loose, either. Are you sure he's steaming? He's likely to be ahead in 2 of the 3 hands, maybe all three.

I guess I'm spewy! lol I was just wondering on ppl's thoughts.

1) I like, I'm pretty confident that although I'm beaten, there is no way he can call with KK/QQ/TT which are his most likely holdings. Preflop OK, I think ur right I should be folding this mainly or 4-betting, but not 4-betting to this guy at this stage. He wasn't steaming just yet.

2) I took it down, he probably had AK or AQ

3) He was deffo steaming here and I won with AT, I hit a T on the river, but I was winning anyway. he showed up with AQ, lucky me.

I suppose I'm not really thinking enough about my game, the only hand that involved any deep thinking was hand 1 which I think i played well post flop.
I need to stop CALLING 3-bets so thin. Fair I can 4-bet, but I cant call a 3-bet without AK/AQ TT+? or similar right....unless we are deep.

calling 3bets depends heavily on villain's 3betting range. the standard 3betting range for normal opponents is pretty tight. if you are playing like TT or something, calling a 3bet means you are pretty much playing for a set and you should only be calling that 3bet if you get good enough odds. calling 3bets with AQ vs. ppl who aren't known loose 3bettors is bad imo.
