I've returned to cash games after playing mostly SNG's. I have a baby, and I need to be able to just pick up from a table and leave.
So I found myself on a table that everyone was sitting around waiting for the nuts. I played good solid poker, until got some notes "Open Limps with crap, Folds if they miss, way overbets pots on the flop, multi-tables and will NOT defend blinds.". So I decided to take advantage of the situation the best I could...
So I got aggressive a bit, raised premiums from any position, and a lot of marginal hands from the BU or CO. Anytime I got callers, if they checked to me I'd just fire a cbet and take it down. I'm guessing they had PP's or SC's that didn't hit.
Is this the correct way to play against these types?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I read an interesting article here a while back, that most people just trade money back and forth at a poker table.
The trick is: There are a few super-donaters out there who just bleed money from every orifice at death inducing rates. The best players track these pigs down and stick them before anyone else can.
If you're sitting at a table with 8 other nits... You can adjust to the table, or you can go look for a superdonater.
I think your adjustment was spot on for the table, and if it were the only table I'd agree 100%.
I think it's not as superior as the adjustment of standing up, and selecting a table with a high vpip and a high $ per pot.

The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

What you are describing happens at the higher stakes much more so than at the micro stakes. At the micro stakes you can find anywhere from 2-6 "superdonators" at each table. Therefore, at the micro stakes you don't need to go looking for the donators. Just sit down at a table and you will find them pretty quickly.

there's still a difference
I found one guy that ran 90/10 was 100% free money who would only min bet when he had a hand and would call shoves any pair/any draw
I got a stack or two off of him in a few minutes
four 30/10 players don't donate that fast

Good to know I did things right. I don't naturally play aggressively, so I thought I best to try and learn. I've gotten better at aggression since playing SNG's, but I still need practice. Also now I see why some players seem like they're running well when really they're just taking advantage of the situation.
They did end up bleeding chips, just slowly and steadily, which put me up for the day. I would have had better profit in Iowa City but that darn Ice/Snowstorm kinda messed that up. Well, at least I still have electricity.
Fairfield looks like it's in the boonies...Do you ever go to Riverside casino?

Ragnar, I was uncomfortable with my own play style and I did leave looking for bigger and better tables. Looking back I wondered lost out by doing this.
If the table dynamic didn't change I would have been making about 30-40BB/hr without too much risk of a bad beat. Is this comparable to a table with a high VPIP and large average pot size?
Will
Well...if you don't go to Riverside I definitely won't. Just thought I'd make a special trip for the chance to meet an FTR reg. I prefer Tama though, nice place and younger players are accepted there.
