Starting hand charts are a terrible way to get started imho. Sit down for a day and learn the theory behind why you play a hand preflop. Learn why you would call someone's open raise, why you would 3bet his open raise, and then when those standards aren't met, you can safely assume fold.

For instance, if someone is opening a wide range, and my hand is ahead of his range, and I'm in position, barring outside factors, I should call. As on average, I have more equity in the pot than he does. Now factors such as, who is more skilled postflop, other players left to act, stack sizes, pot size, his postflop tendencies, etc could sway it to a fold, or even more of a call.

But to look at a chart that says "Always open XX from this position", or "Call with XX", is pretty terrible, and just getting you in habits of making less than ideal decisions.

Besides, that chart is pretty horrendous. It's wanting you to limp in with 22-JJ in EP/MP, and always fold small suited connectors unless in the SB. Terrible, terrible.
