Post subject: percentage question A 2 vs KQ

Hey ive been lurking around this forum reading a lot and finally made a name becuase i was curious of what would win A 2 off or K Q off. And how would yuo go about calculating this. ALso is there a program where i could put multiple hands in and see the percentages??

I suppose A2o is slight favourite because if neither hand hits anything then A2o would win - unless the community cards are the best hand ie. 56789 straight, then its a shared pot. You both have the same odds of hitting a pair - but if an Ace hits then A2o becomes a big favourite. I'd much rather be holding A2 in a heads up pre flop showdown - but its still a coin flip situation really.
There are plenty of sites on the internet showing how to calculate odds of hitting cards which describe them much better than I could. Search away - you'll find one.

If you want a program that gives exact results, go to pokerstove.com Its kinda slow on hands that it goes to 8 billion itterations, but....

Agreed.... not a whole lot to hope for other than hitting an ace and hoping no one else has one. Also, winning with Ace high just gives me shivers. I don't even want to get into drawing to the low end of a striaght
