I met one of my cousins today who I hadnt seen for months, my mum had told me that hes been making lots of money playing poker online by using some 'cheat method'... at the time I obviously laughed it off assuming he was using some typical lame odds calc.

I couldnt belive it when chatting to him today he revealed he actualy uses a 'Pattern mapper'. Apparently seeing as no random number generator is truely random, over time patterns emerge and the 4th and 5th street cards can be predicted with 80% accuracy.

So I get on the net and do some research, here is a very lengthy and interesting thread from 2+2:

Has anyone here heard of this method or had any success using it?

Reread the thread ... 90%+ of the replies are joking

anyway good RNG setups like a good poker site would use are not breakable because they use a seed created by several "natural" sources... for example, the temp of the computer off a very sensitive sensor. (eg: 90.17683 C) ... and thats just one source .. they normally use several.

so even if you had an exact copy of the setup, you would need access to all the natural sources they are useing as well (and thats the same EXACT ones, not ones just like what they are using)

ps: best post on that thread is...

Even those keno machines could only be predicted with 3% accuracy and they had only 4K pseudo-random number list
