a wild stab in the dark , but its so that people don't just see a FTR freeroll in a poker site lobby and think "I'll have a piece of that " and come to the site and have a stab at some free money.
You could prove that that is not your intention i guess by offering to add maybe 500$ to the prize pool if they let you play.
ALternatively you could just join in and try and learn from what the experienced players (thats not me by the way) can teach you and from other peoples questions .

they won't as they have to be authorized/qualified by bing regular contributors to the site over a sustained period . Hopefully , I may get to that position over time. However, it appears most of the freerolls occur in the middle of the night in the UK so its unlikely i'll get to play many of them or they are on sites i don't have an account on .
