at my home games I have been playign this one player and I either bust him down completely or he busts me down completely.

He always checks and calls more often then not and plays simalar to a check station exept that he lays some hands down. I find this style of player very hard to read because its always call and its always check. Does anyone have an idea of how to read this player.

Draw cheaply, make a hand, and bet it hard.

I once played against a player who would call 100% of the time no matter how high I bet. I kid you not. 100% of the time. He would bet the MINIMUM BET every time no matter what. As in, two chips into a twenty chip pot.

I lost to him a few times because he would get miraculous outdraws. This is the perfect strategy against this player that I came up with:
Check/call until you hit the nuts, go all in.

Now just modify that for how often he folds - maybe bet less than all-in when you make the nuts.

But if you ask me, better loose passive than loose aggressive. For me, that is. Lagg players can eat people alive when they hit.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
these players are your dream come true as a poker player. you extract the absolute most value from them when you have the nuts, and you lose the absolute least to them when you chase and miss your draws.

most B&M cardrooms are loaded with players like this. that's why it's so easy to make money there. like fish in a barrel.
