party poker new promo "dollar club"

So i just spent half an hour chatting to party support.

They have an excellent new promotion called the "dollar club"...

basically, you have to opt in each day, and if you earn a certain amount of points you get a certain amount of $$.

for example, a vip player who earns 200 points in 1 day will get $40, every day!!

bronze, silver, gold and palladium all have different promos, but they are the same structure.

here is the kicker, they have minimum stakes to play in order to qualify for the promotion!!!!

example,
VIP members can earn $40/day as long as they eanr 200points, but it must be at 200NL tables or higher!!! WTF!

so any gold member who plays have as much as I do, at my level (100nl), IS earning the promo and I am not WTF!
also, vip members like me who earn the same amount of points, but do it at higher stakes are getting the promo and Im not... wtf again!!

i told party that if it dont change Im gone, screw that crap. theres not a chance in hall im playing 100NL against a pool of casual players who are getting the benefits of this promotion, and there is even less chance that I am going to move up in stakes just to qualify.

stupidest thing ive ever heard.

and if all that is bad enough.....

i dont even get the lesser benefits that the gold members would get ffs!!! either i earn 200 points playing higher stakes or i get NOTHING

I think a part of the idea with this promotion is to provide an incentive for lower stakes players to get in on the action in higher stakes than they would normally play. It's actually a good idea to help the overall poker ecosystem imo.

there must be better ways to give such incentive.

VIP player A can earn 200 points every day playing their normal stake of 200NL and receive $1200/month
GOLD level player B can earn 95 points every day playing their normal stake of 100NL and receive $480/month

VIP level player C (me) can earn 400points playing my normal stake of 100NL and receive zippo.

Regs moan that sites don't do enough to encourage new depositors and provide incentives for recs to play higher, yet moan when they do! This promo sounds like it will be hugely beneficial to you overall. Why should Party incentivise anybody to carry on doing exactly what they were before?

Bean counter, that is part of my point....

All the rec players playing my level have no reason to move up in stakes. They are bronze or silver level players that will get this promo at 100nl. I don't get it because I am VIP.


So I, a reg, would have to move up in stakes while all the recs stay behind and enjoy the promo without changing a thing

I probably overreacted about the whole thing, I'm not actually gonna leave party lol... But still the promo makes no sense.

If it were meant to give incentive to players to move up, I guess I can't complain, but the reality is that the only players at 100nl that would have to move up are the regs

Found moving up levels to chase bonuses endangers my Bankroll.Tried it with razz for a few months on Stars. Worked well for some time but the inevitable variance finally chomped 20% from my bank.

Are there any players from lower stakes being incentivized to move up to your stakes?

It seems like the benefit of the promo is twofold. If you're in the camp that moves up, then you "just" have to hold your own at the higher stakes. If you're in the camp that sits, then there should be an influx of "lesser" players sitting at your tables.

Is there no part of the promo that encourages players from lower stakes than yours to move up?
