I haven't played at many poker sites before, so perhaps my question is kinda stupid. But I noticed that most tables at the 0.02/0.04c NL tables on PartyPoker are really tight, as in the average VP$IP is below 15 most of the time. I heard PartyPoker is supposed to be one of the most "fishiest"/loosest poker sites, but surely that can't be right. I seem to get the impression many people play at this level just to grind bonus points. Are my observations accurate?

party poker is the most overrated site out there.

Still, I would expect the games should be alot better than that. Perhaps you are playing at a bad time of day?

The other thing to consider is that "player intelligence" is not directly proportional to stakes. My guess is that alot of the players playing the micros are there because either:
a) They are almost busto and are playing scared
b) They understand bankroll management and probably have a half-decent understanding of the basic principles of poker.

You will probably find more fish at 10NL than 4NL simply because fish don't think "I have $50, I'm rolled for 2NL". They will jump straight in at stakes that actually matter to them, even 10NL would be completely unappealing to alot of fish with a $50 roll.

Could be the case, I found that games weren't so good once it got too late for Europeans.
