I don't understand how you guys can play there. I've heard that their ring games are much easier so I moved my roll there. I'm playing half as many tables as I normally do, and I can't tell what the hell's going on. It hurts my eyes. My hands are always getting folded before I can act because I can't understand what's happening in front of my face. Is the play there really bad enough to justify acclimating myself to this torturous software?

get a table and card mod for party and it becomes much easier on the eyes and the action is easier to follow.

You're just like me... born Pokerstars and can't stand anything else! The speed/look is taking a while to adjust but I hope it will be worth it... at stars 50nl yesterday there was 3 solid tags/multitablers at every table I was playing at.. at 50nl. I decided I needed to move somewhere where I have more of an edge.. and IMO, rakeback > FPP.

OK I'm back on stars. What a stupid day. Oh well...playing on stars will help me improve as a player faster, which is what I'm mainly focused on atm.

You obviously haven't played on Full Tilt, Prima, B2B, or Bodog.
Its really not that bad. You can download a lot of skins that make it look 100 times better. The only thing bad about party software IMO is the fucked up button glitches (like haven't to click fold like four times in order to fold).

Stars ALWAYS requires 2 or more clicks to make any action via the buttons. Stars is honestly the worst site I've played on in terms of usability and speed.

I hated Party after playing on Stars, but then I played Hollywood, and now I love Party.

you would be surprised how you get into a comfort zone with software. it really makes the experience or breaks it for the first 20 hours or so you play. after that it is just like riding a different bike. play stars for a year, then switch to party - you will hate it right away, but after a month you wont remember why you were bitching...

party isn't really harder to use than stars, if you're having trouble its probably just because you're really really used to stars.
I just tried playing bodog today. The games are really soft, but it took me like 5 hours before the interface stopped tripping me out.

same - i logged back on and the interface is new compared to when i used it last.
freaked me out when they rotated the table so you are always on the bottom middle, heh.

i kinda like that actually. except for bodog randomly closing completely on me (I think it was when they updated my picture), i think bodog is pretty good once you get used to it. I like always being at the bottom middle. it kills me that you can only play 3 tables though.

Well after a 6 hour session today on Party I think I am kind of use to it.... I only played 25nl to get use to it, but it was insane!!! I thought 25nl was crazy at stars but wow, I've never seen so many bad people at once... I know it was 25nl, but 25nl on Party makes the 25nl on Stars look solid.

I think Pokerroom is where it's at for visual and actual game interface. Of course I might be biased because it's the only one my Mac can play on besides FullTilt. But I've seen all the others in action and could not see why they would be made to look so poor.

Sometimes my action buttons disappear on Party. Really nice when you get AA and two raises in front of you and can't do anything.
