this is a question for all of the part timers out there who also work a full time job. How many hands do you play in an average month? How many hours?

If you get in a lot of hands, how do you find time to do it?

I don't think I play nearly enough and would like to hear how others find time for more poker while maintaining a life of some sorts. For instance, I played about 7700 hands in August, which is short of what I would like to be playing each month on average.

I routinely played 35K-45K a month while working and being a husband and father to a 3 year old. Some say I was a little fucked in the head, take it as you will. I never slept enough, I never watch TV and my wife certainly has had discussions with a lawyer.

i play around 20-25k hands/month with a full time job. My wife works 3 - 12 hour nights shifts a week, so i put in around 2k hands every night she works.

i play 12-15k hands per month, but i am only 19 and now that my friends are back in school i am probably going to be playing 15-18k for the next few months.

I play in 500 hand sessions. It usually takes about 90 minutes, and on weekends i try to get 2 sessions in each day so i don't feel like i have to play every weekday when i get home from work.

How many tables do you play at once? (i usually play 4) That may be a good way to increase the number of hands without spending more time in front of the computer.

I usually do 3-4 FR tables at a time. Any more and I stop being able to pay attention to them all, and that is a bad thing.

Thanks for the responses. Nice to see a wide range for # of hands being played.

I am sure that there are some times when I am not playing when I could be, just something I will have to work on.

I was playing about 10-11k hands a month 3- or 4-tabling 6max. This worked out to be about 10 hours a week.

I play 3-4 weeknights for ~1.5hr/night. Then I play 2-3 hours/day on weekends if I'm not out of town. I 4-6 table 6max and this ends up being between 10k and 15k hands/month, depending on how much I'm travelling.

Could this bring up a discussion about being 'ready to play'? I know that when I wasn't working I played better because I was well rested. Do you all just have great stamina or what?
Check out my self-deprecation here!

I played 18k hands last month at various micro limits. I'm trying to put in as many hands as I can so I can be at or close to 100NL by the time I get to my Christmas holidays.
I started a new job so don't play much ATM, just FTP mini grind

12-15k

Id be the example of someone who has gone from 50k+ hands per month while finishing my uni course to really small gross hand numbers per month.

Depending on work (i work one sat in 3) and my temp supervisor duties i can get in 15hours or so per week, but can be as low as 8
