This type of hands is where i feel that I am loosing money.
The reason I called his raise was for a set
opponent 20/5/1 over 174 hands and cbets 33%
opponent checks
I bet the flop to get a fold from AK/AQ/KQ
so is this spewing or was my steal okay
I want to take a stab because if i check I am pretty much giving up unless 6 hits.
Is this a very wet flop?
UTG ($10.20)
MP ($11.85)
CO ($6)
Hero (Button) ($5.71)
SB ($10.38)
BB ($20.36)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6, 6
UTG bets $0.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.62) 9, J, 8 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.45, UTG raises to $1.25, Hero folds

Total pot: $1.52 | Rake: $0.05

He could have tons of things here and if this is a guy that is very aggressive you'll need to have something better than a pair of sixes to play against him, but when you do get it, he'll pay you off.

I'd just check it back
he's NEVER folding KQ in this spot, he has 10 outs
he's never folding any flush draw either

so just check the flop and see what he does on the turn

I play it the same Ni Han.

With a larger sample size I check behind.
Most ABCish players c-bet too often making this a check/fold so often that you can bet 2 waffles here.

With more information and perhaps a different board texture I like a 3-bet re-bluff.

exact reason why I'm not betting when checked to here, I expect him to bet his air on this board and c/c or c/r when he checks.

Maybe it's the opponents I'm playing against that will check/fold air on wet boards out of position.
