HarleyGuy13 is on a distinguished road
First off I live on the west coast of the United States so pacific standard time. I have noticed a big difference in the players depending on what time I play. I most commonly play when I get home in the evening after work which is typically around 8pm. I find the tables to be very loose/aggresive. I do try to get a short session in often prior to going to work so I'll play at around 7-7:30am and things are tighter. More times than not I can finish up a bi or two after an hour or so in the morning. My biggest down swings are in the evenings.
I'm just curious as to what others think about time of day or what days are more profitable etc???

The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck."

Weekends are best.

I find sometimes it depends on site. For some odd reason cake is really fishy on thursday nights as well as weekends, and plays slightly tighter on sunday nights. It makes no sense to me, but w/e. You'll find most sites are at their fishiest on the weekends.

Some sites are really fishy in the early morning. I guess it just depends on what region is playing at that time.

I actually do better Sunday through Thursday nights than I do on the weekends. Although, if I have the time and patience, I do great on the weekends during the day.

I attribute this to my style of play. I play LAG and find the tables more passive during these times.

I play Bodog and live in the EST.

Yeah, during the NFL season on bodog Sunday night - Tuesday morning is LAF.

I assume around any major sporting events any site with a sports book attached would be pretty good.

Hey Harley,

I don't have scientific proof but I tend to agree with you...I usually play 9 to 5 each day west coast and it just seems much easier to steal and cbet in the mornings and on week days. When I play the same tables at night and on the weekends...there are more people hanging on to see every flop.

My theory is that once 4pm rolls around, people are home from work on the east coast and have started drinking and get looser. Thoughts?

I play poker on Friday night and Saturday and Sunday. The anothers days rarely I can play because I work in other city and have to travel all the day (1000Km per week).

I play 8 PM to 11 PM (when I play) EST, and it's a TAGG fest on FT, but oddly the early morning hours (4 AM to 7 AM) are pretty loose. Dunno why. I do think week night's loosen up toward midnight EST, but not all that much. Maybe they do loosen up a bit after midnight EST, but I wouldn't know.

I would think that the early morning hours are loose because they aren't the early morning hours. They're the late night hours.

LoL, the next time I see 5 AM from the night side rather than the morning side probably will have about a 50-50 chance of killing me. I'm getting srsly old.

Hey KB -- I play 10NL on Friday and Saturday nights. I play 25 NL the rest of the time. At one point, I was rolled for 50NL, but made several withdraws and haven't built the bankroll back up yet. Believe it or not, I think the 50NL is softer on Bodog than the 25NL. Of course, maybe I just hit a heater for the short period I was playing 50NL.

We actually played at the same table once. I recognized your round guy avatar that you previously used.[/b]
