Hello,

I've been lurking for the last 4 months or so and just wanted to give a big thanks to all those who contribute (especially Lukie, Fnord, Gabe and Rhondavu - you guys rock and have taught me heaps).

I started playing online poker at Party (NL $25) as I think I should be able to handle this (bankroll is sufficient). I'm also whoring PO2.

Can someone please give me some feedback on the hand below? I'll get onto the HH converter for the next one (promise). You'll probably be hearing more from me in the near future but for now it's nice to be part of the FTR community! Thanks in advance.

Villain was semi loose preflop and passive post flop (determined by PO) and the table was fairy tight.

you must fold - there is just no way you can possibly call that bet, whether or not villian is a loose player - even if hes drunk and has been going all in with trash

you played this fine

i personally like a little larger raise preflop, say 3.5-4x min

once he goes all in on that turn though, with two overs out there you just cant call him. hes told you hes strong by calling you preflop and on the flop - even if hes loose as hell, A2 certainly isnt out of the question or a hand like AT with a flush draw. furthermore... passive players usually dont just decide to overbet the pot all in on a bluff

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
There are times you can consider calling large overbet pushes, but this isn't one of them. This is as easy a fold as they come.

Like others have said, you really have to fold this. There will be times when you'll fold and he'll show Qd7d or whatever (or worse), but any ace and any jack beats you.
