I just started playin online and i noticed that
a lot of people go all in on the first hand, is this
normal for on line play? Because at real tables
I can honestly say i have never seen it done.
And another thing is calling an all in with crap cards
even when there is no logical reason to call, or is it
just to get chips? Is it like this in all online games?
If so how do you know when to move in or when to call?

are you talking about cash tourneys or freerolls? Just because they have gone all in first hand doesn't mean that they are good players .Most of them will never see the second hand ,let alone the first break and never see the prize money.

This never happens if it's an actual cash paid tourney.

What you just explain in your post use to happen in the freerolls I used to play and in very low buy-in tournaments. Unfortunately I face exactly the same problem. From my very short experience, I realised that most of the people playing this kind of tourneys do it just for fun, and they don't care if they finally are eliminated or not because tho cost ist "Zero" or minimum. I used to fold almost every hand until 15-20 minutes are gone. There you see that about 40 to 50% of the players are already out. I know that this strategy is not probably the best one, but I prefer to do so rather than trying to play the right game at a very early stage. It is frustrating to have a very good starting hand, play it as it should be played and face 1,2 or more all-in's, just because the pot has been increased in a considerable amount of chips.

In live unlimited-rebuy tourneys it can be a good idea to go in blind the first hand to encourage other players at the table to gambol. The table that has the most rebuys before the break has the most chips and therefore its players have a better chance of taking the price money. Otherwise I don't see how this applies. Usually UTG limps 2 players call, the BB minraises... This is how it goes when I play tourneys.

If your playing freerolls and low buy in MTT's then yes people are going to push a lot in the beginning. Sometimes your gonna have AA or KK and have to make the call. But never push all in yourself in the beginning of a tournament even with AA or KK because you want to grind your way up the ladder into the prizepool and not put your tournament on the line. If you raise 3-5x with AA and get pushed back i'd just put my money in the middle. But yes in a nutshell a lot of people push early in a freeroll.
