ive lost like 45 hands in the last two days on the river, being beaten by a stupid donk who plays with 3 5 offsuit, or 410 suited, i play, hit my cards and then they call a big bet with nothing, aand then catch runner runners who does this, honestly, ive been sucked out and lost by chasers too many times to count, ....really putting a frown on my poker game, i just cant seem to WIN my hands

it's not about winning hands - how much are you up/down the last two days? I'm down about 4 BI in the past two days. While I haven't played great, I haven't really sucked either. If you're playing well at a limit you can beat, the results will come sooner or later.

Suck it up and re-load. It happens to the best of us. Just make sure you know your opponent's tendencies each time you're in a hand. However, either you have some serious bad luck or you're not telling us something. Getting your money in good with the best hand only to lose this much... well, something smells fishy.

smitts, you are going to lose hands playing poker. That is why you need more than 5 buyins. It's going to be hard to find sympathy when you only had 5 buyins in the first place and you're not going to reload to try again. There are people on this forum who have gone on 30+ buyin downswings, and they don't come here complaining about bad beats.

Yeah you were dominated in those last two hands. The first was no fault of your own. The second hand you played very badly and deserved to lose the buyin there. If you are routinely making plays such as you did with the AQo hand then you will continue to lose money.
And as far as coming here to talk about your bad beats etc. IT HAPPENS!!!. Yes, it came be a kick to the nuts when it does. Especially if your a beginner or you value the money too much (such as you do because you saw you whole roll slip away). But you have to get over it. We here on this forum, and all good poker forums, are unconcerned with the outcome of a hand. The results mean absolutely nothing. The decisions you made on every street and the action in the hand is what we care about. If you made a good decision and the play was +ev (positive expected value), then even if you lose that hand, you made money in the long run if you keep making +ev plays. If not you lose money.

here's a BIG part of the problem. you need a bigger bankroll to survive a 4 BI swing.

smitty, first nh for posting this and the two hands (i read other post, too). You've gotten a lot of great advice. Hand 1, cooler. Hand 2, well...it's been said.
Chopper and others are right - you need more than 5 BI to be playing, or going broke is all too likely. Here's my advice. Ditch the freerolls. Find a way to get $50 (25 BI) online and start practicing. You can try this link: Noobie's First 5k Hands at 10NL, a long post I wrote to help total noobs.
I lost for a long time at 2nl and 10nl, just playing around. This post details what I did to improve. You need more like $300 to play 10nl. But you can learn the game at 2nl with $50 and have a decent chance to not go busto. The game is wild at 2nl, and I would suggest rakeback to help even up against the massive rake%. Also, you need to learn to play tight, wait for good cards, and then move in. Patience is a virtue.
GL, don't worry about it - just keep learnin' as much as possible, and posting hands. It'll come, if you work at it.

one more thing, smitts.
these days the NL variance is at an all time high. the edges are smaller and the competition is rockier/tougher. not that you cant learn, but it isnt as soft as it was just a couple years ago when most of us got started.
my brother is on his 2nd 12+ BI downswing THIS year at 100NL right now. he is a MUCH better player than i am, and he is getting killed by the variance.
if you dont carry 20-30 BIs for the level you choose, you may go broke through very little fault of your own.
remember:

Seinfeld: "thats a 5!"
Kramer: "giddyup"

Pokerstars doesn't have a Rakeback system per se in place. But they do have a system (vpps/fpps) that is the equivalents of a Rakeback system. Read this thread by spoonitnow.
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ds-t72487.html
The only thing I can say is that the "Rakeback" seems very slow earning and well almost non-existant at the micro levels (10nl and below) because it takes so long to earn vpps/fpps. But when you do get some fpps, I suggest playing in the 210fpp satellites, as the play is incredibly bad, and the payout is $11 (or a tourney entry).

yeah ive earned FPPs, but i always did the 10fpp 500$ tourneys, play was still horibbly bad i usually made top 500 out of 3-5000 entries, lol payout was weak tho, usually20-50cents, lol *cheers*, but i think once ihave 210fpps ill give it a shot

True, but it's important. Rakeback for me at 10nl turns into about 1/3 BI every 1k hands. For 21k hands in a month, that's $70, or 7 BI. With a 5 ptBB/100, you would "win" 21 BI's, or $210. So the rakeback is a quarter of your earnings. If your winrate is only 2 - 3 ptBB/100, the rakeback bonus is more like 40% of your total earnings. It may take a while to earn it, but it takes a while to win your bankroll, too. And it's too important a part of beating microstakes for a decent rate to ever NOT have it.

go to the pokerstars.com page. look under VIP promotions tab (or something close to that), and click on their calculator.
however, dont take anything for truth under 25NL or .50/1 LHE because you need an $8 pot to earn an FPP.
the Silver Star bonus is a bit cheesy, but better than nothing. the Gold Star bonus is "ok," but the Platinum+ bonuses are decent.
good luck getting to Gold+ at the microstakes. its pretty much impossible. look around and find better, more rewarding sites, to play.
US friendly: Absolute, UltimateBet, FullTilt, Cake jump to mind. but, some of those dont have the most credibility anymore. just use caution if you are a US player.
