This is my 1st time playing exclusively NL. Thanks FTR!!

Here are my Oct stats so far playing exclusively NL.

Obviously had a very good month so far

Many fish, good play, not too many Bad beats.

I know this is unstainable @ this rate but are these games this easy? I am playing full table, and at the moment I am not going to change.

What differences do you make to play 6max? Loosen up just slightly in position or play exactly the same?

I think the aggression factor in Poker Tracker is skewed so it's lower than it should be for NL. Preflop, the only hands that can be safely reraised in a ring game are AA and KK, and it's often a good strategy to limp hands like AK AQ and 99-JJ in EP, not to mention limping pocket pairs from any position b/c of implied odds. After the flop, I'd say aggression is not measured just by how often you bet and raise in relation to calling, but also the amount of your bets and raises. Someone who never calls a bet but only makes min raises or bets less than 1/2 pot size will have an aggression factor that's off the charts, but a truly skilled tight-aggressive player will almost always bet at least 2/3 the pot and will know when to just call for strategic or pot-odds purposes. I am probably one of the most recklessly aggressive NL 6-max players you'll encounter, but through 14k hands my AF is only at 1.26

As for NL 6 max adjustments, you will win quite handily using a strategy that's identical to your ring game one, but for optimum results, I find you can play A LOT looser. Hands like JQo and TJo that are unplayable from virtually anywhere in ring games are playable and even raisable from any position (though I'm not too crazy about calling raises out of position with these types of hands). I will also play and frequently raise suited connectors and one gappers and Axs from any position (though these are somewhat marginal in the first two seats). I will also raise a lot of very marginal hands (and sometimes complete junk hands) from any position (though usually not the blinds and generally in LP and with no more than one limper, especially for trash hands), hoping to either take it down preflop, steal it after the flop, or flop a gutterball monster and win a big pot.

I dunno if you've read Super System, but I find the advice in there applies almost perfectly to 6-max games (whereas it doesn't apply so well anymore to ring games). Just being aggressive will steal you more pots than you could imagine at these tables. Like Doyle says, they just keep throwing their hands away. And when you do catch a hand, you're much more likely to be paid off because of your aggressive image. If you're getting run down by weak holdings from loose players or are having trouble outplaying the table, you just need to tighten up, stick to premium holdings, and start showing people hands.[/img]
