This was a good hand for my note taking . There are plenty of limpers,I take notes on limpers for exploitation. Its the BB that intrests me.
$0.02/$0.04 No Limit Holdem
Betfair
8 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com
Stacks:
Hero ($8.22)
UTG+1 ($2.20)
MP1 ($0.37)
MP2 ($1.04)
CO ($1.94)
BTN ($4.14)
SB ($3.18)
BB ($2.68)
Pre-Flop: ($0.06, 8 players) Hero is UTG
Hero folds, UTG+1 calls $0.04, MP1 calls $0.04, MP2 calls $0.04, CO folds, BTN folds, SB folds, BB checks
Flop: ($0.18, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets $0.04, BB raises to $0.27, UTG+1 calls $0.27, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.23
Turn: ($0.99, 3 players)
BB bets $1.20, UTG+1 calls $1.20, MP2 folds
River: ($3.39, 2 players)
BB bets $1.17, UTG+1 calls $0.69
Final Pot: $5.25
BB shows

UTG+1 shows

BB wins $5.02 (net +$2.34)
MP1 lost $0.04
MP2 lost $0.31
UTG+1 lost $2.20
here are my notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BB~capable of slowplaying KK.Checked with KK in the big blind. KQx flop. Check/raised to 7xbb .
UTG+1 ~ limped 97s,chased a bad draw, ignored a chk/rse
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I had KK here ,I would have done a 4-8xBB preflop raise here. winning Just the $0.18 preflop pot.
But the way the BB played it. he extracted a lot more.Because UTG+1 played like an idiot.
Is my note taking accurate enough?
Is the BB play an advanced play?

id make a note that he overbets the turn as well with a nut type hand. other than that its what i would do
and no, the bb's play is just retarded.

haha JKDS I was just about to post that I don't think the BB was advanced at all and that the play was ra-tarded.
I think if a flush would have come on the river the guy would still be betting his stack away. Your note taking is on the money.

Notes are fine.
As far if you would have had KK preflop, and how you would have only won the preflop pot with your raise. This is likely a pretty incorrect statement. There are multiple limpers, the likelihood that one, or more, of these bad players will call your Preflop raise is pretty high. If the 97s villain called preflop, he's almost certain to have called the flop and turn chasing his draw here. In which case, the pot would be larger, thus you would extract more value.
No BB's play is not an advanced play. It's quite terrible actually. Just because he got a very nice flop, and the results ended in his favor, does not mean this is the correct way to play KK.

BB is a donk for limping KK and c/r'ing limped, drawy flop. That's a fine note.
UTG+1 weak bet/called flop with a draw. That's a worthy note because players like him often weak bet weak hands or draws.
I take notes on behavior that's out of the ordinary. If UTG+1 is like 50/2 then I expect him to play a draw like this so I wouldn't bother taking a note because it's redundant. The weakbet draw thing is probably the only thing worth noting because not all passive players weak-stab draws, sometimes they just check.
Likewise, I don't expect a really passive player to be raising KK so it's not all that noteworthy. I also espect passive players to be betting and raising very large with strength, so his postflop play is certainly typical of a passive fish.
The point is that it's hardly worth noting player's tendancies that perfect fit the standard mold of their play style as that's what you should be assuming of them anyways. Make notes when they do something out of the ordinary.
If you're not that confident in your stereotypes, I guess note-taking can be a good way to make those ideas really sink in...

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Is that the same chapter that discusses when to raise 72o preflop?

Leave 72o out of this. I checked it PF in the BB last night and hit a 772 flop. Villian had A7 and stacked off. Moral of story - 72o rocks!

I like that you use bb instead of $ amounts, but I'd word it in a way to reflect potsize and flop betsize. Perhaps as verbose as "4bb pot on flop with minbet on flop" or shorter if I can think of it.

Just playing to improve.
