what makes you want to fold river? what makes you want to call/raise?

if we bet the flop, why are we betting?

answer these, and we'll go from there.

What range are you putting him on after he has already called your PFR?

You're in pretty iffy position to begin with so I might even just fold pf here depending on how much action you expect behind you - ie: fold if you expect any. Post flop you have third pair and a gutshot so its still not much and being out of position hurts even more.

A Bad situation all around but the place to start is with the two posts above. Think about why you made these moves and what your opponent could have had given the little you've seen of him and the action of the table. in general. Is it playing tight/loose? Is he? I know you didn't see much of him so what did you or could you do during the course of the hand to find out more info from him? Maybe make a big bet to test him and get out fast if he pushes back ... maybe check to see how he will react and your hand isn't strong. Etc

Flop and turn are fine, you´re too weak to c/c anywhere and you´re picking up dead money and get some value from overs/gutters often enough.

Riv is tricky, as theres little he could credibly flat two streets with and then value bet. Since we beat basically nothing just let it go

Hard to put him on a range. I would be considering something like 22-77, Ax and some connectors, one gappers and suited cards... Your line looks fine to me, but sometimes you just have to fold...

I also like betting flop and turn, his range is gutters, 6x, stuff like A5, rare small overpairs and flush draws so there is some value there. The biggest issue is villains stack size, although he picks up Jc on the turn sometimes, or Kc on the river, the river looks like a good card to fire a third barrel except it'd be hard to size something credible which then wouldn't pot commit us. If villain had started the hand with 100bb I'd be more inclined to bet again.

Thanks for all the replys the villian was there for like 4 hands not much action the table was pretty loose-weak lots of calling garbage hands andcatching good flops it was standard for the rest of the table to flat two streets I really would have shoved turned against any other player at the table but since he was new I figured to give him a avg range Axs Kxs T9-KT 22-77 preflop that's just a base for people I don't know. The on the flop I bet out trying to take it down itg was safe for me when he floated I auto adjusted range to Axs kxs KJ KQ QJ etc these are some hands people at these stakes floatg with and try to catch top pair J hit I bet again representing big pair when he called I figured this guy is taking it to the river no chance at bluff and he most likely raising any riv bet I send. How is my thought process

i like it. if we had any reads on villains, i'd like b/f'ing the river, but since there are sooo many players who would snap you with 77 here, i'm inclined to c/eval. nothing about his PSB makes me wanna call
