Ok, so I've got a Full Tilt account, but I've only played freerolls on it, never deposited anything and actually haven't won anything yet. Then I was noticing that FT will let you have rakeback, but the one I was looking at said you had to start your account THROUGH their site. If you already had an account, u couldn't.
So, my noob question is, am I out of luck forever on rakeback on FT then since I started an account without it?

you can ask them
"RAKEBACK YUO GIEF? MY PRECIOUS"
"NO!"
"T__T"
but sometimes they'll give you rakeback if you say you won't play on the site unless you get it

Can you just delete it and make another one? I know Stars is very sticky about just one account/person and all that, thought FT would be the same.

I already had an account and sent them a few emails asking for rakeback and telling them I'd go elsewhere etc. After like a month they said ok.

you should be fine with 2 accounts if one is play money only.

I was wondering about this too, before I deposit money on Full Tilt. I plan on depositing soon. Is rakeback something that is automatically given if you deposit money? or do you have to beg for it?

I don't understand how the whole rakeback thing works. Do the poker sites take rakeback kindly, or only offer that to affiliates? I think maybe I joined full tilt through an affiliate, I don't remember. I have not deposited any money yet.

What are my options?
1: Should I email them and ask them if I qualify for rakeback?
2: Should I just let my wife open a new account directly?
3: Should I go through one of the rakeback sites like rakerebate?

Ask the rakeback sites if they can re-tag your account. If you have never made a deposit or played for real money on the account before they should be able to take you on
